A little preparation and very little out of pocket expense, is all you need for a spa at home day. Here are ten steps to bring the spa experience into your busy schedule as often as you have time, without leaving your home. The best feature of your own home spa is that you never have to leave.
Quick, Affordable and Simple
Be sure you have 2 hours of complete, non interrupted, “me” time. Turn off phones; put a note on your front door. Do whatever steps it takes to ensure that you will not be disturbed.
Step One) prepare your bathroom; place aromatic diffusers, light candles, close window shades, set up music, or turn on a relaxing fountain.
Step Two) Run your bath water. Be sure it is at a tolerable hot temperature so that the water does not cool down before you have had time to relax in it. Use relaxing scented bath gels, like chamomile or lavender; try developing your own essence by mixing your favorites. Rose pedals, and grapefruit are one of my personal favorites.
Step Three) Place your washcloth, scrubbing puff, and moisturizing body wash nearby.
Step Four) Exfoliate your skin using a dry brush, and apply facial mask.
Step Five) Lay in the tub. Take ten deep breaths and allow yourself to completely relax and clear your mind of all thoughts.
Step Six) Remove facial mask.
Step Seven) Scrub skin with puff.
Step Eight) Get out of tub, apply body lotion, again using relaxing scents and a moisturizing cream.
Step Nine) Put on something comfortable.
Step Ten) Lie down and relax and enjoy the time you have.
